What harm reduction means to me, is meeting people where they are and prioritizing safety and well-being over stigma or punishment. As an empathetic person I think it is important to understanded that everyone faces struggles and having judgement only creates a barrier to support. I joined IDEA Exchange because I feel like everyone deserves respect and access to tools that help them, and surrounding peers, stay safe. My motivation comes from a belief in human integrity and acknowledging individual’s realities and that recovery is not a linear experience.
