While I am relatively new to the world of harm reduction, I could not be happier to be part of IDEA Exchange. I have learned a great deal of things as a master’s student in the applied medical anthropology and public health departments at the University of South Florida. However, serving as a member in a multidisciplinary team of physicians, social scientists, students, and dedicated volunteers has affirmed the necessity of working on the ground with the community.

As one of the Hepatitis C treatment specialists, I am dedicated to fostering an environment where our participants can feel dignified, safe, and supported throughout (and beyond) their treatment journey. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to uphold the missions of harm reduction: A commitment to providing compassionate and de-stigmatized healthcare.
